Elsa Pataky joins Jessica Alba x Tom Hopper in The Mark

The Mark

Elsa Pataky (Fast & Furious, Interceptor, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga) has joined the cast of the high-octane espionage thriller The Mark, now filming on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.

Pataky stars alongside Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four), Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy), Angus Sampson (Mad Max: Fury Road), Mark Coles Smith (We Bury the Dead), Jessica McNamee (Mortal Kombat), and Rena Owen (Once Were Warriors, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones).

In The Mark, Jessica Alba plays Eden, an enigmatic spy on a covert and dangerous mission. When she inadvertently drags single father Ben Dawson (Hopper) into her world of high-stakes espionage, his quiet life implodes. Mistaken for one of the world’s most lethal assassins, Ben becomes the perfect decoy for Eden — a role that puts both of them in the crosshairs of the CIA and a ruthless global crime network led by Special Operative Len Milton (Sampson).

As enemies close in, Eden must keep Ben alive long enough to expose a powerful political conspiracy , while Ben must find the courage to survive and reunite with his daughter.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Elsa, Mark, Jessica and Rena to The Mark,” said producer Tracey Vieira (Land of Bad). “This is a film rooted in tension, heart, and propulsion — and these actors bring truth and charisma to every frame. The Gold Coast has been an incredible production home, and producing a film of this scale here with such world-class talent means a great deal.”

The Mark is directed by Justin Chadwick (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, The Other Boleyn Girl) from a script by Ronnie Christensen (Passengers, Incarnate).

The film is produced by Alba through her Lady Metalmark Entertainment banner, alongside Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier, and Henry Winterstern for Highland Film Group, Kia Jam for K. Jam Media, Kosaku Yada for Westbrook Studios, Tracey Vieira for Hoodlum, and Peter Jákl (Locked).

Executive Producers include Will Smith and Miguel Melendez for Westbrook Studios, Tracey Nyberg for Lady Metalmark, Justin Chadwick, Ceasar Richbow, Latavius Powell, Jason Hope, Tracey Robertson, Nathan Mayfield, Jeff Kranzdorf, Gevork Semeriyan, and Abraham Kesablyan.

Highland Film Group is handling international rights and co-financing the project alongside Aperture Media Partners. The Australian Government’s Location Offset supports the production, the Queensland Government’s Production Attraction Strategy, and the City of Gold Coast’s Screen Attraction Program.
