Disney+ unveils action-packed Mandalorian trailer

March 1 can’t get here fast enough. Tonight, during the NFC Wild Card playoff game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tom Brady-led (will he retire after this season?) Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lucasfilm dropped the first trailer for The Mandalorian season three trailer.

The Lucasfilm teaser, which featured exciting new scenes, also introduced a few of the episode directors for the upcoming episodes. Directors on this season of The Mandalorian include returning helmer Rick Famuyiwa, Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison, Minari filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung, Mandalorian actor Carl Weathers, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse‘s Peter Ramsey and returning Mando director Bryce Dallas Howard.

Following their reunion in The Book of Boba-Fett, we see Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu as they encounter new aliens and new challenges across the galaxy on the way back to Mandalore. From the footage, we see they will also cross paths with the Jedi and even more dangerous enemies. Watch below:

And there’s a new poster that is fire:

Season 3 will consist of 8 episodes. Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) stars as the titular character, traveling the galaxy with Grogu (AKA Baby He stars alongside Katee Sackhoff, Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. And of course, there is Grogu (aka Baby Yoda).

According to the synopsis, “The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

Jon Favreau once again serves as showrunner, executive producing with Dave Filoni, Famuyiwa, Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck co-executive produce.

The final season of The Mandalorian season three debuts March 1.
