Nine-time Emmy-winning storyteller, Todd Kapostasy, has joined bicoastal Cultivate.Media for exclusive US spot representation. Kapostasy, known for his work with high-profile names in sports and entertainment, will bring his unique storytelling abilities to the award-winning commercial and content production company, which is overseen by Managing Director/Executive Producer Mark Thomas and Executive Producer Stuart Wilson.
Kapostasy’s impressive portfolio includes collaborations with luminaries such as Erin Andrews, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Robert De Niro, and Jamie Foxx. His projects span a wide range, from commercials and branded content to feature documentaries and episodic docuseries, for clients like Amazon, Bose, ESPN, and Nike.
“While I think it would be somewhat expectant for me to say that Todd is a terrific storyteller (which he is), there’s just a lot more nuance to it,” said Thomas. “Be it a wink that turns into a smile, or a heart tug that turns into tears, he brings a sensibility to the work that is both clever and captivating.”
Kapostasy’s career began on the East Coast at ESPN’s Feature Unit before moving to Los Angeles, where he directed feature-length documentaries and commercials, blending the polish of commercial production with true-life storytelling.
His reputation was cemented with notable projects, including the definitive documentary on NBA legend Dennis Rodman for ESPN’s “30 for 30” series and the four-part series “Meddling” on the 2002 Olympic judging scandal for Peacock.
