The anticipation for the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards is building as nominees for outstanding individual, cast, and ensemble performances were revealed in a live Instagram announcement by Issa Rae (Barbie, American Fiction, Insecure) and Kumail Nanjiani (Welcome to Chippendales, The Big Sick).
The event, set to take place on February 24, 2024, will be produced by Silent House Productions in partnership with SAG-AFTRA and will stream live globally on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
Notably, the legendary Barbra Streisand is set to be honored with the SAG Life Achievement Award, recognizing her remarkable career achievements and humanitarian accomplishments.
The SAG Awards, one of the industry’s premier events, celebrates outstanding motion picture and television performances from the previous calendar year, covering the SAG Awards Eligibility Period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023. What sets these awards apart is that they are selected entirely by performers’ peers in SAG-AFTRA, with a voting body of 119,515 eligible members.
