
Two cultural icons—Coca-Cola and Star Wars—have joined forces for a global marketing campaign that aims to do more than move product. Titled “Coca-Cola x Star Wars: Refresh Your Galaxy,” the new campaign is a vibrant celebration of shared fandom, human connection, and the enduring emotional power of storytelling.
Marking another milestone in a 70-year partnership between Coca-Cola and Disney, the campaign reaches across generations and continents with 30 limited-edition collectible cans and bottles, immersive augmented reality experiences, and creative content that captures the communal joy of Star Wars fans around the world.
“A cornerstone of Disney’s collaboration with Coca-Cola continues to be creating campaigns in honor of fans,” said Mindy Hamilton, SVP of Global Marketing Partnerships at The Walt Disney Company. “This custom campaign is for them and inspired by them.”

A Shared Legacy of Joy
The campaign is deeply rooted in the shared DNA of both brands. According to Islam ElDessouky, Global VP of Creative Strategy & Content at Coca-Cola, “This collaboration is about more than just bringing together two iconic brands — it’s about celebrating the power of Star Wars fandom, shared passions, and the strength of community when we lift each other up.”
The first content drop kicks off in a location familiar to both Star Wars and Coca-Cola fans: the movie theater. The hero spot features fans gathering for a screening, dressed in cosplay, trading quotes and laughs, and forming spontaneous moments of connection. The message is simple but resonant: fandom builds community.

“The spot shows the fandom coming together, dressed as their favorite characters, being playful with each other and having fun in the moment,” said Becca Vodnoy, SVP of Corporate Alliances at Disney. “There’s a sense of togetherness. This was made for the fans, and this is a story that only we could create together.”
Limited Edition Cans That Speak to Every Fan
The campaign features 30 character-focused can and bottle designs, with selections spanning the entire Star Wars saga—from Original Trilogy favorites to streaming-era icons.
Among the characters featured:
- Original Taste: Lando Calrissian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Queen Amidala, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Maul, Kylo Ren, The Mandalorian, Poe Dameron, and more.
- Zero Sugar: Darth Vader, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Rey, Grogu, Finn, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and others.
In addition, three exclusive designs will be available only at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California: The Mandalorian and Grogu, First Order Stormtrooper, and Chewbacca.
“The Star Wars universe is very expansive, so we wanted to make sure there was something for every fan,” said Vodnoy. “There are designs for original fans from 1977 and ones for the fans who are just discovering Star Wars today.”
Technology Meets Storytelling: AR Holograms and Collectibles
One of the campaign’s standout innovations is its AR hologram experience, unlocked via QR codes on cans and advertising materials. Fans can record personal messages and watch them transformed into holographic transmissions in classic Star Wars style—just like R2-D2 delivering Leia’s message in A New Hope.

“The idea of creating a hologram of yourself and transmitting messages in a classic Star Wars way is a beautiful experience for everybody,” ElDessouky said. “Fandom is all about authenticity, and that really drove and governed how this entire campaign came to life.”
This digital experience also includes access to the full catalog of collectible cans, allowing fans to track, share, and celebrate their collections with fellow fans. Watch below:
Global Reach, Timely Launch
“Coca-Cola x Star Wars: Refresh Your Galaxy” will roll out across North America, Latin America, Europe, Japan, and Asia South Pacific beginning in July 2025. The campaign aligns perfectly with a surge in Star Wars content, from Andor Season 2 on Disney+ to immersive theme park experiences and a new feature film scheduled for 2026.
