Camilla Araujo discusses leaving $20M OnlyFans career in new doc

Camilla Araujo is opening up about one of the biggest decisions of her life in Becoming Her, a new short documentary chronicling her choice to step away from an OnlyFans career she says brought in more than $20 million.

Released on her YouTube channel, the film racked up more than 600,000 views within its first 24 hours, signaling strong interest in the creator’s next chapter. “Over the last three years, I’ve gained over 30 million followers and made over $20 million. And yeah, mostly through OnlyFans. But today, I quit. But the reason probably isn’t what you think,” Araujo says at the start of the documentary. Watch below:

In the film, Araujo reflects on her upbringing as the daughter of immigrants and the pressure of being the firstborn in the United States. “I think people have this image that I grew up with the silver spoon and I grew up extremely wealthy. It’s actually the exact opposite,” she says. “My parents used to share a one-bedroom apartment with four people and work their asses off. They came to the United States to follow the American dream, and when they had me, they saw an opportunity.”

She describes enrolling at East Carolina University to fulfill her parents’ hopes. “That was one of their biggest dreams for me, college,” she says. “I was a regular college girl, living in a dorm, waking up, going to classes, and partying, but there was something in me that wanted more.”

Araujo’s trajectory shifted after her viral appearance as Player 067 in a MrBeast Squid Game video. “People had no idea what my name was. They only knew me as 067. So I chased that. I chased the virality. I chased the fame. I chased that feeling again,” she says.

She later dropped out of college to pursue content creation full-time. “My heart wasn’t in college,” Araujo says. “Nothing matters if you’re not getting views. More views equals more money, and when I realized that, it was game over.”

In exclusive comments released alongside the documentary, Araujo emphasized that her decision was rooted in growth, not regret. “I didn’t leave OnlyFans out of regret. I left because I grew. Becoming Her is my story, but it’s also proof of what persistence builds.”

The whole short is available on Araujo’s YouTube channel.
