Burger King tests new loyalty program, Royal Perks

Burger King is now testing a new rewards program in Los Angeles, Miami, Long Island, New Jersey and New York City. Royal Perks is just one more step on the brand’s digital journey that makes every dollar count with the ability to earn 10 crowns for every $1 spent.

“For years, BK has been hard at work evolving the digital guest experience. From personalized offers and app features like mobile order, payment and timed order release to a first-party delivery platform and testing ghost kitchens, the brand has been making it easier than ever to get BK favorites,” a spokeswoman told Reel 360.

By the end of 2021, here’s what to expect from Royal Perks that guests just won’t get other places:

  • Have it your way® with access to your favorites: Usecrowns to get free items from across the entire menu, unlike other places where it’s limited to only a handful of items
  • Live it up with free daily perks: Order BK daily and have the option to upsize one drink, fries, or hash browns for free per order, per day
  • Earn crowns on your delivery orders: The world has surely changed so when guests order delivery from BK.com or the BK app, they still earn crowns
  • Celebrate your b-day as the royalty you are: Earndouble crowns for your entire birthday month, not just one day

Guests in the test cities can be among the first to try out the loyalty program. Bonus crowns will be automatically loaded to the accounts of those who sign up and enjoy the first phase of the program, which includes some of the features mentioned above.
