Boston-based advertising agency Arnold Worldwide and BAGLY, a youth-led, adult-supported LGBTQ+ non-profit, have a longstanding partnership with a few years of impactful initiatives completed.

Most recently, they launched BAGLY’s How-To Guide to Living Audaciously, an awareness campaign featuring Ru Paul’s Drag Queen star, and BAGLY alum, Jujubee that resulted in a 175% increase in year-end donations.

To further extend the campaign’s impact on Boston’s LGBTQ+ youth community, Cambridge-based Lamplighter Brewing Co. released a special edition beer in support of BAGLY: The Audacity, a fluffy, hazy, and audacious Hefeweizen.

“Arnold and Lamplighter’s unique partnership in support of BAGLY’s Boston-based Community Center and statewide work is truly the perfect brew,” said Kurtlan Massarsky, BAGLY’s Director of Development and Marketing.  “The commitment from diverse corporate partners on display here is a refreshing way for supportive adults to raise the necessary funds for BAGLY’s life changing, life-saving programs and services.”

This beer is an example of prominent Boston organizations in their respective specialties coming together to support BAGLY’s mission, while reinforcing that Pride doesn’t begin and end in June.

BAGLY and Lamplighter aren’t strangers – the two teamed up on a beer proceed share as part of Lamplighter’s Community Engagement program in July of last year, and co-hosted a raucous Drag Brunch in June 2021 – and The Audacityfurthers this ongoing partnership. Taking inspiration from The Audacity campaign, this beer flaunts the glam, camp, and boldness that Arnold brought to the work.

“When another opportunity came along to partner with BAGLY, it was an easy decision. We pride ourselves on the work we do, and the beer we brew, to help create a Boston that is inclusive and supportive of everyone,” noted Cayla Marvil, Co-Founder of Lamplighter Brewing Co. “As our July Community Engagement Partner, we’re excited to amplify the incredible work BAGLY is doing to support our city’s LGBTQ+ youth.”

The Audacity released in both of Lamplighter’s taprooms on July 1st, and will follow by Miss Lamplighter’s Drag Race, a launch event on July 14th at their CX taproom. A portion of all 4-pack, taproom pour, and event ticket sales will be donated to BAGLY. Tickets can be purchased here

BAGLY, founded in 1980, has supported over 40,000 LGBTQ+ youth for the last 40+ years through their commitment to social justice by creating, sustaining, and advocating for programs, policies, and services.

“It’s incredibly reassuring to know that there are other prominent organizations in our Boston community, like Lamplighter Brewing Co., who share our passion for supporting Boston’s LGBTQ+ youth,” said Michael Houston, Director of Studio and Integrated Production at Arnold. “This beer release is a fun and equally impactful example of what can happen when organizations join forces to do what they do best, to do good.
