Biscuit Filmworks Signs Director Freddie Waters for Global Roster

Freddie Waters

Biscuit Filmworks has added filmmaker Freddie Waters to its worldwide directing lineup, expanding the company’s bench of cinematic, performance-led storytellers.

A London native, Waters cut his teeth hosting comedy nights that featured then-rising talents like John Bishop and Jack Whitehall before moving behind the camera. His reel blends sharp observational humor with polished craft, pulling standout performances from a wide range of personalities—pop icon Harry Styles, football legends Thierry Henry, Peter Crouch, and Eric Cantona among them.

Waters’ commercial credits span CrossCountry Trains, DASH Water, McDonald’s, Sports Direct, Paddy Power, Nike, and adidas, showcasing a knack for character-driven stories that travel. He’s also worked in television, directing BBC Three’s Peacock and Waiting for Comedy Central, starring Ryan Sampson and Harriet Webb. His festival presence includes BAFTA- and Oscar-qualifying screenings for Lugar, written by Freddy Syborn (Sex Education, Killing Eve 2) and starring Jack Whitehall and Lolly Adefope.

“I was instantly drawn to Freddie’s relentless ambition to get the best out of actors and move between genres,” said Rupert Reynolds-MacLean, Managing Director, Biscuit Filmworks UK. “He’s a phenomenally talented director with outstanding instincts. We’re excited to welcome him to the global roster.”

“From the outside, it’s hard to dispute that Biscuit is making the best work,” added Waters. “Then you get inside and meet Shawn, Rupert, and the team, and not only does it make sense—you want in even more.”

Reel 360 News wishes Freddie the best of luck at Biscuit.
