Ben Affleck spent Thanksgiving with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. The 53-year-old actor and his mother joined Garner – with whom Ben shares three children, Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13 – for the holiday at her house in Los Angeles.

A source told PEOPLE: “Just like last year, Garner hosted Thanksgiving at her house. Ben and his mom joined. “Jen makes it very special. She’s such a great chef. She loves having her whole family together too. Ben’s always welcome at her house. They get along and really support each other. Ben’s doing well and staying focused on work, his health and his kids.”

The source added, “Jen’s his biggest cheerleader. It took them years to get to this point, but Jen never gave up on him. And it’s all friendly and about the kids now.”

And, Garner’s boyfriend John Miller is supportive of the friendship.

The insider also shared, “He’s been incredibly patient and understanding of her family focus. He’s a great guy and treats Jen very well. She loves dating him.”

Speaking previously about his relationship with Jennifer, 53, Affleck said: “I could not be more proud of my children. I can’t even tell you. [Violet] takes after her mom. She’s spectacular. And I’m very lucky that I’ve got a great partner and that we got great kids. It’s the joy of my life and I’m just very, very lucky. And it makes me happy every day.”

Affleck’s next movie is The Rip, a Netflix thriller in which he stars alongside Matt Damon. The film is scheduled for release on January 16, 2026.

Garner’s following projects are the sci-fi film Zygote and the Peacock series The Five-Star Weekend. Jennifer is also in early talks to star in Affleck’s upcoming crime thriller film, Animals
