Creative studio and artist-led powerhouse ALLDAYEVERYDAY is proud to announce the addition of acclaimed UK-based director Alicia MacDonald to its roster for U.S. commercial and branded content representation. Known for her signature blend of sharp wit, emotional authenticity, and standout casting, MacDonald brings a uniquely human approach to comedy across commercials, TV, and film.
Alicia’s trajectory continues to ascend with her debut feature film Cc:Emily (Focus Features / Working Title Films), currently in post-production. The romantic comedy stars Angourie Rice (Mare of Easttown) and Spike Fearn, and promises to further solidify MacDonald’s rising status as a fresh voice in cinema.
“She’s an immensely talented director who connects with audiences through comedy that is rooted in genuine, human moments,” said Michael Karbelnikoff, Founder and Executive Producer at ALLDAYEVERYDAY. “We are thrilled to be working together.”
MacDonald’s television credits include directing and co-executive producing Lena Dunham’s Netflix series Too Much, as well as episodes of Flack (starring Anna Paquin), Amazon’s Irish-Canadian series SisterS, Channel 4’s Pure, and Stephen Merchant’s Rose D’Or-nominated BBC/Amazon series The Outlaws.
Her commercial portfolio spans high-profile clients including McDonald’s, Durex, Toyota, Jaguar, Google, and Nescafe. She has also helmed a series of award-winning short films, such as Taxing (starring Charlotte Ritchie), Domestic Policy (featuring Lesley Manville), and Otherwise Engaged (with Hannah Arterton and Mark Quartley).
In 2024, Campaign Magazine named MacDonald one of the top five commercial directors of the year, recognizing her standout work on the travel safety film “Safety: A Global Film” for TUI. Her work has garnered accolades from British Arrows, Kinsale Sharks, Cannes Lions YDA, and the New Directors’ Showcase.
MacDonald was one of the first directors signed to Missing Link Films, the London-based company with which ALLDAYEVERYDAY enjoys a close and ongoing collaboration.
ALLDAYEVERYDAY continues to bring deep cultural intelligence, creative agility, and a multi-platform ethos to the evolving media landscape. Known for connecting entertainment, technology, and culture, the studio’s addition of Alicia MacDonald reinforces its commitment to bold, artistic storytelling.
Reel 360 News wishes Alicia the best of luck in her new role!
