This year marks a major milestone for American Standard, the iconic brand behind many of the tubs, sinks, toilets, and faucets that have shaped American homes for generations. As the company turns 150, it’s choosing to celebrate not just its legacy—but the people who made it possible.

To commemorate its 150th anniversary, American Standard is launching the “150th Down Payment Contest,” a campaign that will award $150,000 in total to 10 winners, each receiving $15,000 to help put toward the purchase of a new home. The contest runs now through the end of June, and entries can be submitted by sharing a personal story about how homeownership would transform their life and the lives of their loved ones. “Since 1875, the people who use our products have inspired it all,” said Megan Steed, VP of Brand Marketing at American Standard Americas. “On the occasion of our 150th anniversary, we are delighted to give something back. It may be our birthday—but you get the gift.”

The celebration will be supported by a wide-reaching marketing campaign, including branded video content, digital media, and a partnership with HGTV’s Home Town. The effort is designed not only to reflect on the brand’s rich history but also to connect with the next generation of homeowners.

Running under the tagline “Life. Love. Home.”, the campaign spans the U.S. and Canada and was developed by Hanson Dodge, named agency partner for parent company LIXIL in 2024. Enter here.
