American Haiku today announced that Jessica Kingsbery has been named its first-ever Chief Executive Officer. In the newly created role, Kingsbery will oversee the agency’s strategic direction, business development, and operational performance across all client engagements. She will report to Thom Glover, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, and partner closely with the leadership team to define the agency’s next chapter.
“Jessica is the kind of leader who brings people together around a shared vision—and then turns that vision into real business results that move the needle for some of today’s top brands,” said Glover. “She leads with clarity, focus, and purpose, and I couldn’t imagine a better partner to shape what’s next for American Haiku.”
Kingsbery joins with more than 15 years of leadership experience at some of the industry’s most influential creative shops, including Droga5 (part of Accenture Song), Grey, DDB, and Havas. Most recently named to the 2024 Adweek 50, she is recognized for uniting teams, driving business outcomes, and building enduring client relationships rooted in creative excellence.
Her appointment marks a significant milestone as American Haiku enters a new phase of growth following its recognition as Ad Age’s 2025 Newcomer Agency of the Year. With a client roster that includes JPMorgan Chase, Yahoo, and New Balance, the agency is poised to expand its cultural and creative impact while building a dynamic internal culture that attracts top talent and delivers long-term value for partners.
“American Haiku is primed for growth, with an incredibly talented team and creative energy that’s undeniable,” said Kingsbery. “I’m thrilled to be part of this next chapter—shaping the culture, elevating the work, and unlocking new possibilities for our clients.”
The agency also announced the hire of Ted Meyer as Creative Director. Meyer joins from Droga5, where he spent more than a decade—most recently as Creative Director—leading work for clients including Meta, lululemon, Hennessy, and Ancestry. He will report to Glover and work across the agency’s full client portfolio.
Kingsbery and Meyer assume their roles effective immediately. Reel 360 News wishes Jessica and and Ted the best of luck in their new roles.
