American Family Insurance launches five-episode series

American Family Insurance

American Family Insurance has spent more than a decade carving its own lane in a category known for slapstick mascots and sight gags. Instead of chasing gimmicks, the brand has built its identity around something quieter and infinitely more resonant, the belief that feeling protected gives people the freedom to imagine bigger futures.

“Insure carefully. Dream fearlessly.” has become a promise, not a punchline, and the approach has paid off with stronger awareness, deeper loyalty, and consistent business results.

Now, the brand is taking the next step in its evolution with the launch of “Dream Fearlessly,” an ambitious new branded entertainment series premiering on YouTube on November 17. The project expands the brand’s emotional storytelling into long-form content, following three generations of one family and illustrating how protection shapes not just the moments we cherish today, but the dreams still to come.

The project was developed and produced by Elite Media, American Family’s creative agency partner. Their approach leans into rich, human storytelling, allowing the brand to expand beyond traditional ad units and into something more cinematic. The goal: give audiences space to see their own families, their own memories, and their own dreams reflected back at them.

Told across five interconnected episodes, the series builds an intimate tapestry of legacy, resilience, and aspiration:

Episode 1 — “Legacy”
A father steals small, meaningful moments with his kids over decades — showing that the biggest dreams begin in the most ordinary days.

Episode 2 — “Home Team”
His daughter, now an adult, navigates the push-and-pull of work, parenting, and nurturing her son’s growing imagination.

Episode 3 — “Go to Sleep”
Late-night whispers between siblings spark wonder, ambition, and the kind of possibility that only happens after lights-out.

Episode 4 — “Generations”
The son from Episode 1 steps into fatherhood himself, discovering what it means to protect someone who’s just beginning to dream.

Episode 5 — “A Dream of Next”
The threads come together in a wider cultural context — a portrait of how dreams travel across time, shaping the people we become.

Commenting on the new storytelling approach, Sherina Smith, CMO at American Family Insurance, said, “American Family Insurance is more than a protector of what people own. We are a partner in the dreams and futures they build. With the ‘Dream Fearlessly’ series, we deepen the emotional resonance of protection, spotlighting the heart of our brand and inviting people to dream fearlessly. Building on our legacy of trust and longevity, it positions American Family as the brand that safeguards what matters today while fueling ambition for tomorrow.”

Together, the series underscores a central belief: we never dream alone. Every hope we chase becomes part of someone else’s future.

Beginning November 17, audiences will encounter the series through a mix of trailers across paid social and online video, all driving viewers to the full films on YouTube.

With “Dream Fearlessly,” American Family Insurance continues its long-running commitment to championing the everyday moments that build the future, and the people who make those futures possible.
