Seth McFarlane’s American Dad returns to TBS for its 16th season on April 13. The hilarious animated series, which features the voices of MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, Dee Bradley Baker and Patrick Stewart, has always been considered somewhat of a step-child to MacFarlane’s mega-hit Family Guy. But the series is just as funny, if not funnier, than the Griffin clan.
The story, if you are not aware or were living on Europa with Dr. Manhattan, goes like this – Stan Smith is a CIA agent painfully dedicated to homeland security. His home life includes doting wife Francine, a ditzy housewife, liberal daughter Hayley and socially awkward teenaged son Steve.
Also living in the family’s Langley Falls, Va., home are Klaus, a goldfish with the brain of an East German Olympic ski jumper, and Roger, an escaped alien from Area 51, who Stan houses in defiance of his employer due to owing Roger a “life debt.”

Samantha Bee, who like the rest of the country is adjusting to working from home, will broadcast new episodes. Executive Producer Jason Jones, Bee’s husband and quarantine roommate, will film the episode from a socially distant six feet away – and even further away if it’s a better angle for Bee.
