Amber Heard’s attorney gets “corrected” by cosmetics company

LOS ANGELES – JAN 06: Amber Heard arrives for the Film Independent Spirit Awards 2020 on February 08, 2020 in Santa Monica, CA

On Friday Amber Heard’s attorney, Elaine Bredehoft claimed that the Aquaman actress used Milani’s All In One Correcting Kit throughout her tumultuous relationship with Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp.

The only problem is, that the palette the attorney presented in the courtroom didn’t even exist at the time of their relationship and didn’t even come out until after their divorce was final.

Milani Cosmetics posted a TikTok video on Friday explaining that the makeup kit displayed by Heard’s lawyer would not have been available before 2017, stressing that the alleged abuse would have occurred any time from 2012 to 2016.

“You asked us… let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017!” The caption of the TikTok reads.

REELated: Johnny Depp testifies at defamation trial

Technically, Heard’s attorney did not specifically name Milani Cosmetics in court when she held up the makeup kit and said Amber Heard carried that product every day to hide her bruises.

The trial continues in Virginia on Monday as Depp attempts to prove that the 2018 Washington Post essay written by Heard, in which she accused him of domestic abuse, was defamation.

Depp has denied Amber Heard’s allegations from the beginning and is seeking a minimum of $50 million in compensatory damages plus a punitive award of at least $350,000, along with court costs and attorneys’ fees. Heard is countersuing for $100 million.
