The AICP Awards originally rescheduled due to coronavirus concerns is set to go virtual this week.
AICP Next Awards will debut June 16th, followed by the AICP Post Awards on June 17th, culminating in the premiere of the AICP Show on June 18th.
Winners in each of these three strategically-aligned competitions for excellence will be revealed during a series of free virtual premieres set to take place during the week.
Blue-ribbon panels of judges assembled earlier this year and reviewed work across 60 categories for the three competitions. The judging process for each show was led by their respective chairs. The AICP Show Chairperson, Ali Brown, President of PRETTYBIRD, and AICP Post Awards Chairperson Chris Franklin, Founder/Editor of Big Sky Edit, oversaw the selection of judges for their respective shows with the aid of a 50-person Awards Committee. The AICP Next Awards Judging Chair, Tiffany Rolfe, EVP/Chief Creative Officer U.S. at R/GA, selected Jury Presidents for each category of the AICP Next Awards, who in turn selected their judges.
All 2020 AICP Awards events will be presented as virtual presentations that are free of charge to anyone in the industry.

The AICP Next Awards recognize outstanding work and the creative forces behind it but are much more than an Awards competition – it is a platform for thought leadership and analysis. Annually, the Next Awards seeks out the work that defies convention, and effectively utilizes new technologies, as well as storytelling. The honored work is preserved in The Museum of Modern Art’s Department of Film’s state of the art archives for future generations to study and are available for use or exhibition by the museum’s curators. The AICP Post Awards honor the best post production work of the year. Artists are recognized for their contributions in specific crafts within the overall categories of editorial, audio mixing, sound design, color grading, graphic design, visual effects and finishing. Formerly the AICE Awards, its categories have been re-imagined with a focus on recognizing standout examples of various crafts. In addition, Best of Region winners are presented as the best work emanating from companies submitting in each AICP Chapter Region (East, Florida, Midwest, Minnesota, Southeast, Southwest and West).

Since the Show’s inception in 1992, the honored work is preserved in The Museum of Modern Art’s Department of Film’s state of the art archives for future generations to study and are available for use or exhibition by the museum’s curators.
