Red light. Green light. One final chance. The final game is on — and it’s going to be a bloodbath. Welcome to Squid Game: Season 3. The final season.
Netflix just dropped the official trailer for the uber-popular series, confirming that the final chapter of the global sensation will premiere June 27. Picking up immediately after Season 2’s explosive finale, the new season finds Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) reeling from the failure of his rebellion — and consumed with guilt over the allies he couldn’t save.
“He is in utter despair,” creator Hwang Dong-hyuk said, teasing that Season 3 will question whether “values of humanity—like conscience and kindness—can exist in the arena.” Judging from the trailer, Gi-hun isn’t the only one returning. The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) is back in black — and possibly unmasked. His voiceover asks Gi-hun the loaded question:
“Player 456, do you still have faith in people?” Let’s see. Watch the trailer below:
And yes, that terrifying murder-doll Young-hee is also back for another round. And she’s brought company — the trailer reveals a chilling new game where “danger lurks around every corner,” suggesting Season 3 will raise the bar (and the body count) even higher.
Other returning characters include Season 2 additions and a host of new players — all with everything to lose. And with Netflix promising an “explosion of dramatic intensity,” the finale looks to land like a brutal gut punch.
So, Team X or Team O? Choose wisely. The final game begins June 27.
