Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders‘ new book Speaking For Myself: Faith, Freedom, and the Fight of Our Lives Inside the Trump White House comes out on September 8th. The autobiography is said to feature her take on her turbulent time in the People’s House.
One of those times, according to the New York Times, occurred on a trip To Singapore with President Donald Trump for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
In her book, Sanders describes an “awkweird” moment during the Singapore summit. According to Sanders, she and Kim trained eyes on each other and then the chubby leader allegedly winked at her. Embarrassed and stunned, Sanders says she buried her nose in her notes for the remainder of the meeting.

Upon hearing this on the return flight aboard Air Force One, the President apparently joked about her “taking one for the team.”
Sarah claims Trump apparently joked with former White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly about the encounter, saying to Sanders “you’re going to North Korea and taking one for the team!” He reportedly later added, “your husband and kids will miss you, but you’ll be a hero to your country!”
Her book also describes another potentially awkward encounter between Kim and President Trump. Here, the President offered the North Korean leader a Tic-Tac. Kim initially refused, thinking it could be poisonous, but after Trump ate a few, he joined in.
Awkward.
