As the new DC Movie Universe, known in some parts as the “DCEU,” continues to dig itself out from under the poorly received “Snyderverse,” in reference to Zack Snyder’s take on the iconic DC characters, there are changes abound for upcoming films.
Of course, we all know director Matt Reeves is teaming with Robert “Battison” for a new Batman in 2021, replacing Ben Affleck who played the costumed detective.
And Warner Bros’ solo outing for The Flash has been in and out of development for years now. Most recently, Spider-man: Homecoming screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein departed the project which was to star Ezra Miller. Miller last played Barry Allen in the box office dud, Justice League.

Now there is word that IT director Andy Muschietti is in talks to direct and Christina Hodson, who is turning into a hot genre screenwriter with Bumblebee and Birds of Prey is being sought to write a new script.
No word on if Miller, who is scheduled to film Fantastic Beasts 3, is still on board to star.
Prep on The Flash expected to begin in January of next year.
