Has it really been 16 years since T-Pain wanted to buy us a drank? Well, not me per se – I probably don’t identify as the correct gender for the popular rapper to offer. But that didn’t stop Wendy’s from enlisting the singer/songwriter to participate in a sweet duet. The two have teamed up for a summer campaign, created by our friends at VMLY&R, and an anthem offering to buy you a Frosty.
But it’s a Frost-T-Pain.
Produced by SixTwentySix and directed by Miles & AJ, and created by VMLY&R, the campaign remixes the chart-topping single to celebrate the return of Wendy’s Strawberry Frosty.
Packed with nostalgia and swagger, the music video opens with T-Pain in his studio, morphing into a Wendy’s, where Frosty treats are everything, and vibes are high. With his signature confidence, T-Pain steps up to the mic and performs a summer Frosty anthem.
“Boom-boom. Hey there you, I don’t know your name but let me talk to you, let me buy you something,” the performer sings, as we cut from dancing in a parking lot beside a baby pink car and singing in a microphone at a studio.
“Imma buy you a frosty,” goes the chorus. “Now gonna take you home with me / I got money in the bank / Guess I’ll take two Frostys, let’s enjoy you and me.” Watch below:

Wendy’s marketing success model centers around listening to fans, meeting them where they are, and always finding new ways to break boundaries and think differently. As an iconic ‘brand-fluencer’ in gaming, sports, pop culture, and social media, the brand is consistently keeping it fresh and re-shaping the rules.
Last month, the Dublin, Ohio-based QSR launched Wendy’s National Roast Day, where the brand roasted itself with posts on TikTok.
‘Buy U a Frosty’ dropped on Thursday 6/1 on Wendy’s YouTube channel. The song will also soon be available on TikTok via original song, so fans will be able to snag a Frosty and duet away!
The promotion, which is good only on the app or their website, runs from June 5 to June 21, the first day of summer
