Remembering those who left us in 2018

who-we-lost (1) (1)

They made us laugh. They made us think. They made us dare. They inspired. They desired.

And with their passing, they made us cry.

But instead of lament, the Reel 360 team celebrates their lives. From Penny Marshall, who gave us Laverne, ‘A League of their Own,’ and ‘Big’ to rapper and producer Mac Miller to ‘the bandit’ himself Burt Reynolds to playwright Neil Simon, these were the people who touched us with their creativity, their bravery and their good ol’ fashioned gumption.

We weren’t able to cover them all. Heck, we were only able to cover a few, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t feel a real loss or their impact. Below are a few of the those we lost in 2018:

President George H.W. Bush passes at 94

Stephen Hillenburg, creator of ‘Spongebob,’ passes away

My real life superhero Stan Lee passes at 95

Craig Zadan, prolific stage, TV & film producer, has died

Tribute to a legend: Jay B. Ross, Entertainment Lawyer

Legendary Chicago anchor Warner Saunders

The advertising legend of Aretha Franklin

Gary Kurtz, Producer on ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Empire Strikes Back’ dies
