This summer, Progressive is back with a larger-than-life reminder for small business owners: getting a commercial auto insurance quote doesn’t have to be another monstrous task. The latest iteration of its popular “Monster To-Do List” campaign, created by longtime agency partner Arnold, features a landscaping business owner juggling an ever-growing list of responsibilities—including one big, sticky-note-covered creature.
In the new spot, viewers meet the owner of Mo’s Mulch & Mow, who’s being trailed by the familiar oversized yellow monster—an embodiment of the overwhelming daily demands small business owners face. As the landscaping entrepreneur goes about his hectic day, the “to-do” monster gleefully slaps sticky notes everywhere, reminding him of everything he still needs to tackle.
But amid the chaos, one task turns out to be surprisingly easy: getting a fast savings quote from Progressive. The message is clear—Progressive makes it quick and painless for business owners to get commercial auto coverage, so they can get back to doing what they love. Watch below:
“Small business owners have come to love our Monster To-Do List character over the last two years,” said Donnell ‘Dojo’ Johnson, SVP Group Creative Director at Arnold. “They see their daily grind in this lovable menace and appreciate that Progressive makes at least one task quick and easy.”
First introduced in 2023, the Monster To-Do List has already resonated with entrepreneurs in previous spots featuring a food truck owner and a party planner. This newest execution continues the momentum, aiming to drive direct sales by spotlighting how Progressive Commercial Auto and Small Business Insurance products are tailored for busy, time-strapped owners who rely on vehicles to power their business.
The campaign began airing nationally across TV and OLV on May 19, just in time for summer’s seasonal surge in small business activity. It’s another playful-yet-practical reminder that with Progressive, the hardest-working business owners can at least count on one thing to be simple.
