Patrice Lighter joins Station Film

Patrice Lighter

Station Film has signed Brooklyn-based director Patrice Lighter for commercials and branded entertainment. Known for her authentic, culture-forward storytelling, Lighter has helmed work for TikTok, Stripe, and Nike, among others. She makes her Station debut with a campaign for NYX Professional Makeup, a L’Oréal brand, starring Corporate Natalie.

Lighter’s approach is rooted in empathy and optimism. “I believe my job is to make people feel empowered and good,” she said. “I want everyone to feel famous. That’s the energy I bring to my work and onto set. People can be rock stars no matter what they’re doing.”

Her creative path began in music, performing as a pop artist/songwriter while earning her MBA at Stony Brook University. Collaborating with creative partner Joe Accardi, she transitioned from performing to directing music videos — including a year working with Usher — before expanding into commercials and branded content.

“It was a pleasure seeing Patrice in action on the NYX Social Campaign,” said Caroline Gibney, Founding Partner at Station Film. “Her creative process from prep through post is inclusive, detailed and dynamic. She does the hard work — and she IS a rock star.” Watch below:

“When you meet Patrice, her energy is contagious,” added Michelle Towse, Partner/Executive Producer. “She’s enthusiastic, positive, and completely in sync with the cultural moment. We’re thrilled she’s on board.”

Lighter credits Station’s Miss Smith rep Bess Howell, a longtime friend, for bringing her to the company. “We hit it off immediately,” she said. “I love the team and their forward-thinking perspective.”

Her portfolio includes campaigns for First Response, Happy Baby, EBRP, and folk group Joseph, often championing women and the LGBTQIA+ community. Looking ahead, she has her sights set on collaborating with Disney. “I believe in the magic and have a natural enthusiasm for it.”

Citing Joan Jett as an influence, Lighter added, “I’d rather be true to myself and what I believe in than change for mass appeal. That’s been my guiding light.”

Reel 360 News wishes Patrice all the best at Station Film.
