Marvel Studios just dropped the curtain on The Fantastic Four: First Steps, unleashing a trailer that blends Jack Kirby cosmic spectacle with ‘60s retro-cool swagger. From explosive powers to a universe-shaking reveal, this is the bold, stylized origin story fans have been waiting for—and it’s only just beginning.
While the first teaser leaned on style and mystery, today’s full-length trailer digs deeper into the heart of Marvel’s First Family. For the first time, we get a clearer sense of the group’s chemistry and family dynamics—and a not-so-little twist: Sue Storm is pregnant.
Yes, the Invisible Woman, played by Vanessa Kirby, is expecting, adding emotional weight to a story already brimming with intergalactic stakes. With Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards taking on Mister Fantastic duties, the team is shown tackling their dual roles as heroes and family. Joseph Quinn lights things up as the fiery Johnny Storm, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach brings the brawn and pathos as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.
And for fans wondering if Reed’s powers were missing in the teaser for a reason—breathe easy. The new footage shows his signature stretch in action, squashing theories that this might be a Variant without powers.
Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer, presumed to be Shalla-Bal, also gets more screen time. Gliding across galaxies with mesmerizing visuals, she’s seen doing the bidding of Galactus, the planet-devouring threat teased only in shadow—well, foot, to be exact. Marvel is still holding back a full reveal of the cosmic villain, but the scope is clear: this one’s going big.
