Friends, the reunion we’ve been waiting for

After a year of the plague, we are getting the Friends reunion we’ve been begging for and also the one we really deserve. The show proved that we could make a family out of the people we’re closest to and still come home to that group even on the worst days.

After the 25th anniversary, the best thing to recognize about the hilarious sitcom is that any generation can relate to the series created by Kevin S. Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the moment in the pilot where the friends all reunite at the coffee shop, which is actually a bar at the time or Rachel, wearing a wedding gown, storms into the most uncomfortable reunion with her high school best friend, Monica. We can all relate.

And we all have our personal favorites: you know, the one where Joey gets naked when Monica invites him over for lemonade, or the one where Chandler falls in love with ex-annoying girlfriend Janice on a dating site, or Ross bleaches his teeth so white he terrifies his date. Lunges? Pivot? We were on a BREAK! The triggering words and sentences will have you laughing just reminiscing about the episodes.

When HBO Max announced the reunion is coming, all of our hearts filled with joy and our arms filled with goosebumps. Our favorite group was getting back together for ironic titled episode The One Where They Get Back Together.

Members of the Friends cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry all shared the teaser for the much-anticipated Friends: The Reunion special. Watch below:

Yes, you’re emotional, we’re all emotional. Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow along with the other cast members posted the trailer on their Instagram accounts with the caption “Could we BE anymore excited?!” and fans bursted with happiness and excitement. Could this BE anymore perfect?!

The Friends Reunion will stream exclusively on May 27 only on HBO Max.
