Ela Road Films and Macaroni Entertainment win first Telly Award for Doritos

Ela Road Films, LLC and Macaroni Entertainment, LLC have earned their first Silver Telly Award in the Online Commercial: Campaign/Branding category at the 46th Annual Telly Awards for their “Go Bold” campaign created for the Doritos “Crash the Super Bowl” contest.

Founded by director and screenwriter Colin Francis Costello, Ela Road Films was honored alongside industry heavyweights like Pixar, ESPN, NASA, and MTV Entertainment Studios. The winning campaign, a collaboration with producer Christine Sclafani’s boutique production company Macaroni Entertainment, featured three original spots created with Super Bowl flair and viral ambition:

Bag Football – A flag football team of fierce women uses a bag of Doritos to run a trick play.

The Eaters – A black-and-white homage to vintage zombie films with a spicy twist.

Couch – A comedic tug-of-war for the last chip between a woman and a mysteriously alive snack bag.

Telly Awards Managing Director Amanda Needham noted the evolving nature of the work being recognized: “Our industry is experimenting with new technologies like never before, shaping truly compelling stories to draw attention to some of the world’s most pressing issues. The Telly Awards is uniquely positioned to meet the industry where it’s actually making work—be that on television or TikTok.”

“Being in the running for Doritos was a great honor, but receiving a Telly Award for our work, driven entirely by passion, is beyond exciting. It’s our first Telly, and I hope the first of many for myself, my partner in crime, Creative Director Lily Kim, and my amazing Producer, Christine Sclafani of Macaroni Entertainment, and my passionate Cinematographer, David Navarro,” said Colin Francis Costello, Director and founder of Ela Road Films, LLC.

Macaroni Entertainment Producer, Christine Sclafani, added, “I am so proud of our cast and crew for being recognized with this Telly Award. Everyone who donated their time and passion to this project played a vital role, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. This recognition is an honorable win for all of us, and a celebration of the heart and dedication behind the work.”

The 2025 Telly Awards, which drew more than 13,000 entries from across the globe, introduced new categories in film, outdoor & adventure, and branded partnerships to reflect the evolving landscape of visual storytelling. The judging panel featured executives from Roku, Pluto TV, Patreon, MediaPro, The Martin Agency, and more.
