Tomorrow has added director Ben Nakamura Whitehouse to its U.S. commercial roster, bringing a sharp blend of comedy-first storytelling and lavish visual craft to the production company’s lineup. Whitehouse, whose recent work includes campaigns for MasterClass, Amazon, Pinterest, Google, Crea, and Weetabix, is known for building rich cinematic worlds and then puncturing them with precisely underplayed performances.
“We are beyond excited to be working with Ben. His work is a rare combination of visual sophistication and comedic wit,” said Chris Zander, Managing Director at Tomorrow. “Pause any frame in his spots and the details jump out—he meticulously constructs environments, then populates them with pitch-perfect acting that sticks the landing.”
Born to Welsh and Japanese artist parents and based in London, Whitehouse brings a global sensibility to British dry humor. A film school background in photography and cinematography informs his mantra that “even comedy is an overwhelmingly visual medium,” resulting in ads that feel as well-designed as they are disarming. Before launching his own directing career, he honed his skills as a director’s assistant and ghostwriter alongside industry heavyweights Jonathan Glazer and Ivan Zacharias. This apprenticeship refined his instincts for timing, tone, and texture.
“I’m buzzing to be joining forces with Tomorrow in the U.S.,” Whitehouse said. “In Chris Zander, I’ve found an EP who shares my love of deadpan comedy, meticulous craft, and brainstorms that require a safe word.”
Internationally, Whitehouse is represented by Stink Films in Europe and additional territories, and Revolver Films in Canada. Across markets, he’s become a go-to for brands seeking humor that’s human—and frames that are flat-out gorgeous.
Reel 360 News wishes Ben all the best.
