Creative studio Covert has promoted Ben Dubois to Executive Producer/Head of Client Partnerships, formalizing a dual role that sees him steering the studio’s global sales strategy while continuing to lead high-level production. In this expanded position, Dubois will champion Covert’s proven remote production model as the studio scales across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Dubois has been instrumental in Covert’s recent growth, helping drive major campaigns for Lenovo, IMAX, Google, Visa, LEGO, and Disney.
“Ben’s been a real driving force behind our expansion,” said Max Murphy, Covert’s Managing Director and Partner. “He lives and breathes Covert’s ethos. Elevating him into this role is about recognizing the relationships he’s built and the future he’s helping shape.”
Dubois added: “What’s always drawn me to Covert is the nontraditional structure — a remote production model that predates the pandemic and taps into the best global talent. I’m excited to build on that legacy and push into new markets with strategy, creativity, and heart.”
As part of his new remit, Dubois will continue overseeing production while also amplifying Covert’s multidisciplinary capabilities across design, animation, VFX, color, editorial, sound, and finishing.
Before joining Covert in 2022, Dubois served as Development Producer/Sales at A+C Studios, where he helped scale the stop-motion shop from 10 to 25 employees and forge key partnerships with LEGO and HyperX.
A trustee for the Creative Foundation, Dubois is also an advocate for underrepresented talent in the UK creative industries. “Growing up in Margate, I saw firsthand how creativity can change lives and reshape communities,” he said. “I’m honored to pay it forward and help new talent find their voice.”
Dubois took an unconventional path into advertising, starting in luxury publishing at MH Media Global before becoming an automotive journalist. A pivot during Covid introduced him to A+C and lit a creative spark that’s driven him ever since.
“I still pinch myself I get to do this job,” Dubois noted. “Everyone talks about the glory days of advertising — I think we’re living them right now. The tools have changed. The platforms have changed. But the art? It’s never been more exciting. And we’ve got the team to prove it.”
Reel 360 News wishes Ben the best of luck.
