
BURN Studio is heating up its roster with the signing of Coming of Age, the directing duo of Lewis Atallah and Mattias Russo-Larsson. Known for their sharp, cinematic eye and culturally driven storytelling, the duo brings global flavor to the multi-platform production house, with a background that spans music videos, branded content, and creative direction.
The signing comes as BURN also expands its commercial reach by partnering with Thick and Thin for East Coast representation and Marni Reps in the Midwest.
“Our goal has been to rethink the commercial production company model and explore how small adjustments in how we look at talent and approach the work could drive growth,” says Managing Director/EP Brad Johns. “We knew we needed sales experts unafraid of the unknown who aligned with our perspective and would support that vision. In T&T and Marni, we feel incredibly grateful to have found people we genuinely love working with – and whose ambition matches our own.
Coming of Age earned their stripes directing viral music videos and have since transitioned into campaigns that blend emotional depth with eye-popping visuals. With Lebanese and Swedish roots respectively, Atallah and Russo-Larsson bring a global lens to every shoot. Their mantra? “Be the reference.” And with BURN, they’re aiming to set the new standard in cinematic social.
“We had worked with BURN on an Adobe project last year, and it just felt like an instant fit,” says Mattias. “Like the partnership was already there, even though we hadn’t formally talked about it yet. BURN’s focus on cinematic social and multi-platform storytelling aligns perfectly with what we also enjoy – and even more important is the immediate connection and mutual support we experienced with Brad and everyone at BURN.
The move comes as BURN continues to blur the lines between commercial, branded, and entertainment content. With work spanning Nike, Adobe, Netflix, and Amazon Prime—and recognition from Cannes Lions, AICP, and D&AD—the studio is pushing storytelling beyond the traditional spot.
