Last year, Ti West took horror audiences by storm by releasing the critically-acclaimed X starring Mia Goth as a wannabe actress, Maxine, in the 1970s. Goth also did double duty by playing the old woman owner of the farm, Pearl.
But what caught audiences off guard was another release later that year – X’s prequel called Pearl. That film, which was one of our 10 best of 2022, was set in 1918. Goth played the title character.
West and Goth revealed that they filmed two films at once. Now, A24 coming off multiple Oscar wins for Everything, Everywhere All at Once has revealed the cast who will join Goth to complete the X trilogy.
MaXXXine, named after Goth’s character in X, is the title of the concluding film. MaXXXine follows the events of X in the 1980s. Yesterday, A24 announced the full cast that’ll be joining Goth.
MaXXXine‘s cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon. Check out the cast reveal teaser below…

REELated:
A24’s official description says, “MaXXXine reverses the franchise’s trajectory through time to pick up with Maxine after the violent events of X, as the sole survivor continues her journey towards fame, setting out to make it as an actress in 1980s Los Angeles.”
Production kicks off this month, with no release date set at this time.
