
Lauren Meyering’s Horsegirls led the winners as the Seattle Film Festival culminated in an awards gala, taking home the Grand Jury Best Feature Film award, with Gretchen Mol winning Best Actress and Lillian Carrier winning Outstanding Performance. Chava Méndez’s What’s Kept Inside won Grand Jury Best Short Film and the Overall Audience Award. The Misadventures of Vince and Hick capped the night as Trevor Stevens won Grand Jury Best Director Feature Film and Heston Horwin won Best Actor.
Zac La Roc won Grand Jury Best Director, Short Film for Dizzy, produced by Nick Cassavetes. Shorts acting honors were shared by Ames Miyako (Checking Out) and Jennifer Field (Faithless) for Best Actress in a Short Film, and Victor Del Rio won Best Actor in a Short Film for Ed.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the festival welcomed the return of directors William Wayne and Michael Rey for a third year. From September 24 to 28, the five-day edition unfolded across Here After Theater at The Crocodile, Grand Palace Theater at Aegis Living Queen Anne Rodgers Park, and DocuSign Tower, with an expanded online showcase on eoFlix. In total, the program featured more than 400 films—nearly 50 in-theater screenings and more than 350 titles on eFlix.
