After 3 years in NYC, Cutters editor Yergler back in Chicago

Returning to his roots at Cutters Studios Chicago s award-winning editor Cameron Yergler, after spending three years at Cutters New York, announced Cutters’ managing director Craig Duncan and managing editor Grant Güstafson.

After earning his BA in Film, TV and Video Editing from Columbia Chicago in 2010 and Distinguishing himself as a Best of Chicago AICE nominee over the next seven years, Yergler was part of the team that relocated to New York City in 2013.

Since then, he worked on high-profile campaigns for 3M, Amazon Originals, BCBS, Facebook, Humana, Maserati, the United Nations, and CVS, for which he won a 2015 AICE award with Cutters editor Nadav Kurtz in 2011.

His narrative and documentary film work also includes the dramatic short “Gema,” currently on the film festival circuit.

“Cameron is among the most thoughtful and thorough editors I’ve ever seen,” says Cutters New York EP Elizabeth Krajewski. “If you hand him 40 hours of footage, you can believe he will memorize every second of that footage backwards and forwards. Through diligence and genuine passion, he has built relationships where his collaborators trust him completely.

“His growth as a creative editor has been extraordinary to watch; I can truly say that every project he touches is elevated by his ideas and talents,” she notes.

After his extended tour in Manhattan, Yergler has much to look forward to back in Chicago.

“Before I even unpack, I’m heading to Half Acre or Revolution to get a cold beer from a great Chicago brewery,” he adds with a smile. “I love New York and will miss it, but it’s not a beer town.”

Cutters also has branches in Los Angeles, Detroit and Toyko.
